Internationally renowned Polish jazz trio, Artur Dutkiewicz Trio, are making their Australian debut with a national tour to include the Perth and Melbourne International Jazz Festivals.
They are coming to perform one night only in Sydney at Foundry616 jazz club in Ultimo (Friday June 5).
Artur Dutkiewicz Trio is one of the leading Polish jazz bands, with a unique and recognizable style: „Prana“ – the power and energy of life, manifesting itself as an enthusiasm, joy and creativity. Such is also the music on „Prana” – the new album of Artur Dutkiewicz – acclaimed pianist and composer who is often called the „Ambassador of Polish jazz“.
Artur performs more than most other Polish jazz musicians, both as a soloist and with his renowned trio. In the last few years he has performed at many of the greatest festivals and events in more than 50 countries around the world from the United States via Europe and across Asia. He creates music that is expressive, moody and absorbing, combining Slavic lyricism, contemporary i mprovisation with elements of folk music.
In Australia for the first time, Artur Dutkiewicz Trio will tour nationally, including for the Melbourne International Jazz Festival. He is joined by collaborators Michal Barański and Grzegorz Grzyb and Foundry616 audiences will benefit from experiencing this fantastic internationally renowned ensemble at this intimate club gig.
